Batch 4 — upload these 24 files
Every .md in this folder is a ready-to-upload copy of the corrected article. Destination is the
server's …/public_html/cms/posts. They are byte-identical to the current CMS/{slug}.md, which remains
the source of truth.
Do NOT publish or save any of these through the CMS dashboard — it strips the red Scripture spans, and every one of these files is full of them. FTP only.
Two kinds of change are in here
1. Supplied-word italics (30 corrections). The King James marks words the translators supplied;
KJV-PCE.db records them in brackets; house style renders them as italics. Some were missing, and in
The Lamb's Wife the raw [brackets] had been pasted through so readers saw them on the page.
Silent — nothing spoken changed.
2. Quotation fidelity (25 corrections). Red-span text that differed from the King James — a wrong word, a dropped word, missing punctuation. Seven of these change spoken words.
⚠️ EIGHT ARTICLES NEED AUDIO REBUILT — the rest do not
Words changed in these eight, so the narration was regenerated and each was verified to carry the new reading:

Their eight stale .m4a files have already been moved out of Article Audio/Final Audio/CMS Ready/
into Article Audio/_to_delete 2026-08-27 (stale — text corrected)/, so
Convert Voice (safe).command will regenerate them on its next run. Delete that folder afterwards —
they could not be removed from here (Operation not permitted on the mount).
The other sixteen articles are silent changes — italics and punctuation only. No narration, no audio.
Also upload
qa-private-upload/index.sqlite to the server's qa-private/ folder, as usual — the index was rebuilt
after these edits.
Two things worth knowing before you check the files
- Acts 19:39 now reads inquire, not enquire. That is the Pure Cambridge reading in
KJV-PCE.db, which is this project's authority. It will look wrong against a different King James printing. It is not a typo. - In
following-paul-is-following-christthe prose says provoke to jealousy while the quotation below it reads emulation. Both are right. Romans 11:11 reads jealousy; Romans 11:14 reads emulation. The prose is citing the other verse — do not "fix" it.
Originals of every file are in _pre-italic-fix backup 2026-08-27/ and _pre-fidelity-fix backup 2026-08-27/. Delete both once the upload is confirmed. Full detail and what was deliberately left alone:
