Paul & His Apostleship

How the post-apostolic church came to keep the wrong apostle — exalting Peter, whom Scripture never made its head, while forsaking Paul. Two departures, the rise of the apostate church, what became of Israel's believing remnant, and the test that still exposes another gospel.

Matthew 18:20 is read as a prayer-meeting promise, and binding and loosing as a tool for spiritual warfare. In its paragraph it is kingdom discipline — witnesses, a verdict bound in heaven, the King presiding over Israel's assembly. The Body of Christ holds no such keys; its discipline corrects the walk and never touches the sealed standing.

Christ is the end of the law for righteousness, not a base it is rebuilt on. The righteous man under the law kept it; the man under grace has righteousness imputed without works. Paul withstood Peter at Antioch over a walk that put the Body back under Israel's law, and to rebuild that law is to make yourself a transgressor.

Right division is not the discarding of Scripture but the right placing of it. Three tiers — present truth, dispensational truth, and universal truth — and two plain questions sort any passage: does it govern or describe, and does it reach every age or belong to a program. Keep all of Scripture; obey only what is addressed to you.

Paul calls his own writings the commandments of the Lord, yet says we are not under law but under grace. Both stand. A law conditions standing on performance and curses failure; Paul's commandments are given to sons already accepted, touch the walk but never the standing, come with the Spirit's power, and are fulfilled in liberty and love.

The parable of the prodigal son belongs to Israel's kingdom program, not to the Body of Christ. Rightly divided, it reframes the wayward child entirely — a saved child never loses his standing or fellowship, and a lost child needs the gospel of grace, not a works-earned homecoming.

During the Acts transition, could a believer of Israel's kingdom remnant cross into the Body of Christ? Scripture answers yes, and names the proof: Barnabas, Silas, and Apollos among the Body's own apostles and prophets, a whole assembly at Antioch, and the Israel of God. Yet the programs never merge and the twelve stay fixed.

The epistle to the Hebrews names no human author, and faithful men have argued the point for two thousand years.
